The present research aims to understand the construction process of the ethic discourse in the Brazilian newspaper Zero Hora concerning the climate change, based on Thompson’s Depth Hermeneutics (1995). As a background the ecomunitaristic ethic inference proposed by Velasco (2003a) is taken to analyse the following research corpus: the matters published by Zero Hora about the Climate Changes Reports from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) work groups which were issued in three parts along the year of 2007. Since the journalism is an opinion maker that takes part prominently in the construction of the social entailments and in the production of sense, it comes to legitimate what is said and understood as the Change Climate. The understanding of how this medium plays its social role as a reality changing agent has an essencial importance to contribute to the changing of the values, knowledge, skills and behaviour expected by The Environmental Education towards the transformation of the severe environmental socio- ecologic crisis.
