Abstract:
Esta Dissertação apresenta a pesquisa realizada, cujo objetivo foi contribuir para o desenvolvimento do ensino de História nos Anos Iniciais do Ensino Fundamental em Rio Grande/RS a partir de uma proposta de Educação Patrimonial, trazendo como referencial a Catedral de São Pedro. Existe uma carência de trabalhos que divulguem ações ou façam alusão à relação entre a Educação Patrimonial e o ensino de História na cidade do Rio Grande/RS, mais precisamente sobre a Catedral de São Pedro. Ela foi a primeira igreja erguida no Estado do Rio Grande do Sul, tendo suas obras iniciadas no ano de 1755, sendo reconhecida como Patrimônio Histórico e Cultural através do Decreto Lei nº 25 de 30/11/1937 e considerada ainda um dos símbolos da cidade. Para responder ao propósito geral da investigação, utilizou-se como método para coletar dados a Pesquisa Bibliográfica; a Pesquisa Documental nas fontes que relataram e/ou descreveram as diversas representações da Catedral frente ao município, sendo consultados ainda os Projetos Pedagógicos, os Guias Turísticos e também os Artigos de Jornais e a aplicação de um questionário aos professores da rede escolar do município. Como resultado principal, foram apresentadas duas Cartilhas (recursos didáticos) que deverão ser utilizadas tanto pelos professores quanto pelos alunos, em referência às práticas pedagógicas do ensino de História nas escolas de Rio Grande/RS, a partir de uma proposta de Educação Patrimonial na Catedral de São Pedro.
This dissertation presents the research carried out, whose objective was to contribute to the development of the teaching of History in the Early Years of Elementary School in Rio Grande/RS from a proposal of Patrimonial Education, bringing as reference the Cathedral of St. Peter. There is a shortage of works that publicize actions or allude to the relationship between Patrimonial Education and History teaching in the city of Rio Grande/RS, more precisely on St. Peter\'s Cathedral. It was the first church erected in the State of Rio Grande do Sul, and its works began in 1755, being recognized as Historical and Cultural Patrimony through Decree Law nº. 25 of November 30, 1937 and considered one of the symbols of the city. To answer the general purpose of the investigation, it was used like method to collect data to Bibliográfica Research; the Documentary Research in the sources that reported and/or described the various representations of the Cathedral in front of the municipality, being also consulted the Pedagogical Projects, the Tourist Guides and also the Articles of Newspapers and the application of a questionnaire to the teachers of the school network of the municipality. As a main result, two Charts were presented (didactic resources) that should be used by both teachers and students, in reference to the pedagogical practices of teaching History in the schools of Rio Grande/RS, based on a proposal of Patrimonial Education in the Cathedral of St. Peter
