Abstract:
No presente artigo tratar-se-á, dentro da questão mais ampla e polêmica que é a crise do meio ambiente, da Educação Ambiental. Com a evolução da ciência e da tecnologia, principalmente, o homem superou a dependência
que tinha em relação ao meio ambiente no qual estava inserido e começou a dominá-lo, explorando ilimitadamente os seus recursos que são limitados, e, dessa forma, acarretou a crise ambiental. A Conferência de Estocolmo
(1972) alertou os Estados quanto ao fato de que a política do “desenvolvimento a qualquer preço”, a longo prazo, é insustentável. Posteriormente, a Rio-92 adotou o desenvolvimento sustentável como meta a ser perseguida para solucionar os problemas ambientais. Porém, tanto a conscientização quanto o desenvolvimento sustentável, só no plano teórico, sem prática correspondente, são precários diante da gravidade da crise do meio ambiente. Diante disso, aponta-se a Educação Ambiental Crítica como um instrumento estratégico fundamental para a sustentabilidade do planeta, uma vez que essa promove a conscientização acompanhada de mobilização.
In the present article it will be discuss, inside of the widest subject and con troversy that it is the crisis of the environment, of the Environmental Education. With the evolution of the science and of the technology, mainly, the man overcame the dependence that had in relation to the environment in which was inserted and it began to dominate him, exploring ilimitadamente its resources that are limited, and, in that way, it carted the
environmental crisis. The Conference of Stockholm (1972) alerted the States for the fact that the politics of the “development at any price”, long term, are unsustainable. Later, the Rio-92 adopted the maintainable development as a goal to be pursued to solve the environmental problems. However, as much the understanding as the maintainable development, only in the theoretical plan, without corresponding practice, they are precarious front to the gravity of the environment crisis. Before that, the Critical Environmental Education is pointed as a fundamental strategic instrument for the sustainability of the Planet, once this promotes the understanding accompanied of mobilization.
