Patrimônio histórico arquitetônico do Município do Rio Grande: preservação da memória, leis protetivas e o escopo do poder público municipal em sua promoção.

Abstract

O presente trabalho tem por intuito a compreensão acerca da relevância

cultural e da importância histórica do patrimônio arquitetônico do Município do Rio Grande,

com a identificação no ordenamento jurídico pátrio de diretrizes norteadoras de promoção e

proteção do patrimônio histórico, do âmbito federal ao municipal. Compreendidas tais

premissas, busca-se esclarecer qual a função do poder público municipal enquanto agente

direto de atuação na promoção ao patrimônio histórico local. Para elucidar o assunto, utilizou- se, como metodologia de pesquisa, de revisão histórica bibliográfica, de trabalho de pesquisa

de campo com a realização de entrevista, bem como análise de jurisprudência e fatores

econômicos pertinentes ao tema. Por fim, o trabalho visa compreender a educação patrimonial

como ferramenta essencial à valorização da temática, e o escopo do poder público municipal

em atuar na sua promoção.

This work is aimed at understanding the cultural significance and

historical importance of the architectural heritage of the Rio Grande, identifying the native

legal system of guiding guidelines for the promotion and protection of national heritage, the

federal to municipal. Understood such premises, seeks to clarify the role of municipal

government as direct agent of action in promoting the local heritage. To clarify the matter, it

was used as a research methodology, bibliographic historical review, field research work with

the interviews and case law analysis and economic factors relevant to the topic. Finally, the

work aims to understand the heritage education as an essential tool to the appreciation of the

subject and the scope of the municipal government to act in its promotion.
