Abstract:
Esta tese, produzida junto ao Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação em Ciências: Quími-ca da Vida e Saúde, na linha de pesquisa "Educação científica: implicações das práticas cientí-ficas na constituição dos sujeitos" tem, como objetivo investigar o portal ESPNW Brasil analisando como as questões das mulheres no esporte e a equidade de gênero são apresentadas em algumas de suas publicações. Essa pesquisa se fundamenta a partir dos estudos culturais e de gênero, pós-estruturalistas e algumas proposições de Michel Foucault. Assim, discutimos a temática gênero e esporte afastando-nos das perspectivas binárias e essencialistas das condições universais que definem as posições ocupadas por homens e mulheres. Os tensionamentos históricos quanto ao espaço das mulheres no esporte, os movimentos e estudos feministas, as noções de equidade de gênero e o entendimento do portal ESPNW Brasil como um espaço pedagógico caracterizam e dão suporte as discussões do referencial teórico. Para a produção metodológica desta tese utilizamos algumas ferramentas da Análise de Discurso de Foucault. Para compor o capítulo das análises nos baseamos num recorte temporal correspondente ao mês de março de 2017 do portal ESPNW Brasil, para tanto, fizemos print de todas as publicações do portal e as agrupamos em quatro linhas de análise: discursos sobre sexismo e preconceito; discursos sobre violência e assédio; discursos sobre acolhimento das mulheres e; discursos sobre valorização feminina. A primeira linha de análise apresenta noções de como o sexismo e o preconceito atuam como barreiras para inserção e permanência das mulheres no esporte, a segunda mostra as dificuldades encontradas pelas mulheres no âmbito esportivo levando em consideração as noções de violência e assédio como aspectos culturais, a terceira linha apresenta algumas maneiras de acolhimento para o gênero feminino se estabelecer e permanecer no esporte e a quarta corresponde a algumas rupturas em relação ao sexismo e o preconceito presente no esporte, mostrando algumas evidências de valorização da mulher no espaço esportivo. Tais discursos caracterizam as estratégias do portal ESPNW Brasil em visibilizar e discutir as questões relacionadas as mulheres e a equidade de gênero no esporte. Percebemos que através dessas estratégias o portal potencializa a desmistificação da dominância masculina no esporte. Contudo, a equidade, não é algo simples de acontecer, os discursos apresentados nas publicações do portal evidenciam que as diferenças ainda se fazem presente.
This thesis, produced with the Graduate Program in Science Education: Chemistry of Life and Health, in the research line "Scientific education: implications of scientific practices in the constitution of subjects" aims to investigate the portal. ESPNW Brazil analyzing how women's issues in sport and gender equity are presented in some of their publications. This research is based on cultural and gender studies, poststructuralists and some propositions of Michel Foucault. Thus, we discuss gender and sport from the binary and essentialist perspectives of the universal conditions that define the positions occupied by men and women. The historical tensions regarding women's space in sport, feminist movements and studies, the notions of gender equity and the understanding of the ESPNW Brazil portal as a pedagogical space characterize and support the discussions of the theoretical framework. For the methodological production of this thesis we use some tools of Foucault's Discourse Analysis. To compose the analysis chapter we based on a time frame corresponding to ESPNW Brazil march 2017 por-tal. To do so, we printed all of the portal's publications and grouped them into four lines of analysis: discourses on sexism and prejudice; speeches about violence and harassment; dis-courses on welcoming women and; discourses about female valorization. The first line of anal-ysis presents notions of how sexism and prejudice act as barriers to the insertion and perma-nence of women in sports, the second shows the difficulties encountered by women in sports, taking into account the notions of violence and harassment as cultural aspects, The third line presents some ways of welcoming women to settle and stay in sports and the fourth line corre-sponds to some ruptures in relation to sexism and prejudice in sport, showing some evidences of valorization of women in the sports space. Such speeches characterize the strategies of the portal ESPNW Brazil in making visible and discussing issues related to women and gender equity in sport. We realize that through these strategies the portal enhances the demystification of male dominance in sport. However, equity is not something simple to happen, the dis-courses presented in the portal publications show that the differences are still present.
